Created for both emerging and experienced young artists, this eight-week program offers an open, self-directed environment for creative exploration and growth.

The format is interest-driven, giving students the freedom to pursue personal ideas while receiving individualized guidance along the way. Creative prompts and inspiration are offered to spark imagination, and Phebe serves as a mentor and guide, supporting each artist in developing skills, refining ideas, and bringing their vision to life.

A wide range of materials is available, including drawing, painting, and sculpture, encouraging experimentation across different media and techniques.

Classes are held in the P. Poppins Art Room at The Space Below in downtown Westerly, a comfortable lounge-style setting with access to a riverside patio. Parents are welcome to relax, work remotely, or simply enjoy time nearby while class is in session. The session culminates in a student art show at The Space, celebrating each artist’s creativity and growth.
