Created for both emerging and experienced young artists, this eight-week program offers an open, self-directed environment for creative exploration and growth.

The format is open and interest-driven, giving students the freedom to pursue personal ideas while receiving individualized guidance every step of the way. Each participant is offered creative prompts and inspiration to spark imagination, along with a personal sketchbook and idea journal to plan and develop their projects.

A wide range of materials is available, including drawing, painting, and sculpture, encouraging experimentation across different media and techniques.

Classes are held in the P. Poppins Art Room at The Space Below in downtown Westerly, providing a comfortable, supportive setting where teens can express themselves and refine their craft.At the end of the eight-week session, the experience culminates in a student art show at The Space, celebrating each artist’s creativity and growth.
